Local company has an immediate opening for a cabinet fabricator for first shift. We are an independent business in need of a qualified individual to assist in our custom cabinetry division. Employee must be able to work on their own and with others to motivate and perform job duties resulting in a high-end, quality product.

Compensation: $22 – $25 per hour

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform all functions related to cabinet building, from print to finished product with limited supervision.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blue prints, diagrams and job books to be able to provide a superior, quality product with attention to detail.
  • Work with and handle a multitude of wood species.
  • Understand layouts, templates, mock-ups and samples on a daily basis.
  • Ensure work is performed and completed as requested by the customer, project manager or contractor and it is to their standards.
  • Inform supervisors of cabinetry needs, problems and concerns arising during the fabrication process.
  • Assist in the training of other cabinet builders.
  • Understand OSHA requirements and safety compliances.
  • Complete required paperwork and input necessary information for record keeping.
  • Ensure personal work station and equipment is well maintained and used in a clean and safe manner.
  • Follow safety practices, policies and procedures.
  • Provide positive and professional service to customers.
  • Understand the proper techniques and processes for creating antiquing, distressing and painted cabinetry.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Assist team members with other functions for cabinetry pieces.
  • Perform all other duties and assignments as requested by management.
  • Actively participate in time management discussions.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred. A minimum of three to five years experience in cabinet fabrication and/or custom woodworking. Experience including-custom mantles, bars, soffits, entertainment centers, furniture and detailed moldings.
